Where to do Yoga on the Beach ~ Southern Vacation Rentals
For those who resolved to keep up with your fitness this year, we hope you’ve been successful so far! If you haven’t, then that’s okay – you have plenty of time left in the year to start. This year, how about incorporating the best of both worlds and do yoga on the beach during your vacation? All of our areas from Panama City Beach to Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan, Alabama offer exciting opportunities to practice yoga with the waves as a backdrop. Read on below for the scoop on where to do yoga on the beach (and book your vacation with us while you’re at it!).
Panama City Beach
For those vacationing in Panama City Beach, check out A Mermaid’s Oasis. They offer free beach yoga, which sounds pretty great to us! The class meets at the studio, located at 625 Dogwood Street every Friday at 8:30 AM, before heading to Beach Access 47. Anyone can attend their free beach yoga class regardless of your skill level. They suggest you bring a beach towel, not a yoga mat, as you will have a better grip on the sand.
Then, over on Scenic 30A, try your hand at 30-A Yoga with Christine and Lesa. All levels are welcome at their yoga classes, held Monday and Friday at 10 AM and Wednesday at 6 PM. They also offer private classes for everything from group functions, weddings, retreats, and more! 30-A Yoga is located at 4164 W. County Hwy 30A near Gulf Place Town Center. Stay in a 30A vacation rental at Gulf Place Six Palms 2B during your beach vacation, as you’re less than a 10 minute walk away from 30-A Yoga!
Destin Beach Yoga believes everything is better at the beach! Their yoga at the beach classes are open for all levels, whether you’re a pro or just dipping your toes into the activity. On cooler days you’ll meet on the beach under the sun or at the boardwalk, while on warmer days you’ll practice under the boardwalk’s covered pavilion. Their classes meet at the east end of the James Lee Public Park in Destin’s Crystal Beach neighborhood. Drop-ins are welcome!
