Breakers East #1201

I don’t normally write reviews, but I searched high and low for this unit as I’m sure most people do and I think it’s important to know the positives and negatives before you make any decision. Positives. Beautiful view. Location is wonderful because you can walk to many of the places you want to visit or eat at. Beds are spacious and comfortable. Both rooms are very private as far as the space and bathrooms are concerned. Privacy of balcony was unmatched which was one of the reasons we chose this unit. Customer service responded to messages right away regarding early check in. Everything seems to work fine without any issues. If you are an older couple that likes to eat out for every meal and just lay on the beach for entertainment, this is your rental! Negatives. Never stayed in a condo with this few disposable items at all. Included was one trash bag, soap for one wash of dishes, one sponge and one dishcloth. There was absolutely nothing for cooking such as salt, pepper, or cooking spray. We had no Tupperware to store leftovers. If you like to eat out for every meal this isn’t a big deal but with two teenage boys it isn’t an option! What happens to items others leave? We left trash bags, coffee filters, laundry detergent, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, ziploc bags, Lysol wipes and several other non-food items that could easily be used by the next renters as I’m sure others have done that have flights they can’t take these items on. Nothing outside of tv and books for entertainment. BoardGames, cards, etc. would have been nice for some indoor family fun. The unit needs a good deep clean, especially the carpets. Our socks were BLACK after walking around. Had to walk up 12 floors TWICE because only one elevator was working part time. Overall, we had a great time and it wasn’t a terrible experience, but we will not be staying at Breakers East in the future.
