Disappointed in the lack of transparency with this rental. My confirmation stayed very clearly that we had 2 parking spaces for the unit. When we arrived someone was in the one designated parking space and we were told that other parking was first come first serve. This property was packed and there was nowhere to park. Guest services was no help as they tell you they don’t manage the property or have details on what the owner advertises. Essentially we were told to find a man on a golf cart riding around the property for help. Keep in mind I paid for early check in, which consisted of over an hour wasted trying to get parked and unloaded. The second issue is that nowhere on the rental information page did it mention that you must keep a credit card on file with the front desk, 100.00 was “held” until check-out. The resort only takes card purchases, most billed to the room unless you specifically ask to use a different card. They do not take any form of cash payment. The resort itself is nice, essentially allowing you stay on property and not have to leave. It would have been nice to have advance notice so that we did not come with cash.

We were extremely disappointed in Southern Vacation Rental. They give you one roll of toilet paper per bathroom for a four night stay and one roll of paper towels. They explained they give one roll to cover the first 24 hours so in essence that tells me that a one day customer gets better treatment than a 4 day customer. Too chinchy, especially when your neighboring units are receiving TP and PT deliveries at their front door two doors down. Then when you ask to speak to a manager that is denied and they ask for “please tell me your reason for wanting to speak to a manager”. Another problem was jackhammering on the condo next door. It was so loud it sounded like a machine gun when we were stuck in our condo during a storm. The Southern Team apologized that they couldn’t do anything for us. Just so disappointed in the Southern Team and basically that we were also blocked from being allowed to speak with management through phone or text. Very disappointed customers on this trip. Three years ago with Portafino was awesome!

It’s great however in the smaller bedroom it’s hard to plug things in because the beds block the outlet. I have a cpap and it was very difficult.
