Mark your calendar with these distinctive events along the Gulf Coast in all of our beach locations, including Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Scenic 30A, Panama City Beach, Navarre Beach, Pensacola Beach, Perdido Key, Orange Beach, Gulf Shores and Fairhope. While each area hosts their own events, the beach communities are so close to one another, and often intertwined, that visiting guests can participate and enjoy neighboring activities going on nearby with ease.

With fishing core to all of our communities, we commemorate several seafood festivals and fishing tournaments highlighting local fare and seasonal favorites. The Sandestin Gumbo Festival

The 28th Annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival serves up some of the best gumbo on the Emerald Coast! This event in Destin is one that our community looks forward to every year, and we invite you to come out and experience it with us.
What better way to begin a gumbo festival than with a Crawfish Boil Kick-Off Party at Fat Tuesdays? The crawfish boil is taking place on February 17, 2016 and lasts from 4-6 PM. Pay only $5 per plate and discover your love for crawfish.
This is one event the whole family can enjoy during your vacation in Destin. It is being hosted by Baytowne Wharf and will feature great live music, as well as tons of kid’s activities. Participants will begin serving their gumbo at 12 PM on February 18, 2016.
Each participant will have a decorated booth with tasting cups full of their delicious gumbo. After visiting all of the booths you are able to choose your favorite, and give a participant the chance to win the People’s Choice Award. The festival will also be presenting other awards including Best Display, Best New Restaurant, Veteran’s Award, and Best Non-restaurant. Previous popular participants include Dockside Cafe and Oyster Bar, Harry T’s, and The Village Door.
The Village of Baytowne Wharf is a great area to visit even when there is not a gumbo festival taking place. They have tons of great shopping such as Aloha Surf and Company and Sandestin Clothing Company. While you shop let your kids enjoy Baytowne’s zip line, playground, or the Baytowne Carousel.
