Pensacola City Lights

One of the best parts of the Christmas season is seeing all of the dazzling lights illuminate the night. If you are celebrating Christmas with a vacation in Pensacola, visit the downtown area to see the Pensacola Lights!

Downtown Pensacola comes alive with over four hundred thousand white lights hung on historic buildings, parks, shops, galleries, and outdoor spaces. Catch this display of lights December 1, 2017 through January 28, 2018.

Navigate the eclectic district that is anchored by Palafox Street, named one of America’s “Ten Great Streets.” Palafox Street is host to many events throughout the year and features great shopping and delicious food. Another great aspect of Downtown Pensacola is the culture. It is full of historic buildings and museums, as well as beautiful art. Downtown Pensacola is reason enough to come visit the area, and the city lights are just an added bonus!

Of course, stroll through downtown by foot, Segway, horse and carriage, pedicab or a free Downtown Trolley. The lights continue from Wright Street south to Plaza de Luna on Pensacola Bay. Grab a bite to eat downtown and watch as Pensacola turns on the lights at 5:15 PM.

Bring your family out to see the famous Pensacola lights and get acquainted with this wonderful community!
