Upcoming Events in Fort Walton Beach!
If you are planning a spring vacation in Fort Walton Beach, get excited! There are many fun events on the Emerald Coast coming up and we know you will want to check them out during your visit!
If you will be hitting the beaches this weekend, we have some bad news about Saturday. The weather won’t be ideal for lounging on the sand. The good news? An awesome educational experience to share with your kids literally just sailed into town. And, it’s none other than the Nina and the Pinta – Columbus’s famous ships!
Well, replicas, but it’s still a great opportunity to have some fun and teach the kids a little something, as well. They are docked at the Legendary Marine until the 15th and admission is just $8 for adults and $6 for kids 5-16. Be sure to head over after enjoying the Downtown Farmers’ Market, taking place just over the Brooks Bridge from your Okaloosa Island Condo.
Hitting town the first weekend in April? Be sure to shop downtown Fort Walton Beach while in town, but definitely check it out if you are here that first Friday night. This is when downtown holds its monthly art walk events. Beginning at 5:30, stroll the streets as you shop the wares of local artists for a perfect souvenir to take home from your trip.
Also taking place that weekend is the Fly Into Spring Kitty Hawk Kites Festival. From 10 AM-4 PM both Saturday and Sunday, lounge along the sand at the Fort Walton Beach Boardwalk to watch as magnificent kites sail through the air. Many demonstrations will take place throughout the weekend including stunt flying and lessons from professionals.
