Run the Bayou, Bay and Back in Destin

Do you love to run? Then make your reservations in a Destin vacation rental or Fort Walton Beach condo on Okaloosa Island for the Bayou, Bay & Back this January!

This 5K, 10K and half-marathon event will take place on January 24, 2015 beginning at 7:30am. The Bayou, Bay & Back features a scenic course that leads you along the Choctawhatchee Bay, the Destin harbor, through Destin and down a 4-mile stretch of undeveloped Okaloosa Island and back to Clement Taylor Park. Depending on your chosen distance, of course. After the race, be sure to attend the post-race party at Fudpucker’s on Okaloosa Island. Drinks and food will be available, at a 50% discount for all dressed as superheroes, a race tradition, before the awards ceremony.

The 5K and 10K races are just $30 if registered before January 23 and the half-marathon is $60. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance, committed to sustaining the Choctawhatchee Basin watershed. We hope to see everyone out for the race later this month!
