Mardi Gras on the Gulf Coast

Mardi Gras is a big deal here along the Gulf Coast. In fact, if you happen to be on vacation in Pensacola Beach this weekend, you can catch the kickoff celebration in downtown tonight!

While Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, is not officially until February 17, 2015, there are plenty of parades and parties to attend long before then. And, while we Pensacola and Mobile parades may not be quite as extravagant as New Orleans, we still know how to let the good times roll. And, the majority of our festivities are family-friendly.

So, where do we recommend you check out Mardi Gras on the Gulf Coast? Pensacola throws wonderful family celebrations in downtown each year, but also consider staying in a Gulf Shores vacation rental or Fairhope beach home to be near the action of Mobile, which will host countless parades and events. Of course, each of our beach communities will host a party or parade of some kind including Destin, Panama City Beach and Scenic 30A.
