Art Month South Walton 2024

Despite being renowned for its pristine sugar-white sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters, Florida’s Emerald Coast often surprises many as a hidden gem of creativity and culture. From art to music to literature, this region is home to incredible world-class talents. To honor those talents, each May, the Cultural Arts Alliance organizes Art Month South Walton, a month-long celebration that transforms the area into a dynamic hub of artistic expression, showcasing a diverse array of visual, performing, and literary arts. From captivating exhibitions to lively street festivals, Art Month South Walton invites people of all ages to immerse themselves in the creative spirit of the Emerald Coast and support hundreds of our spectacular local artists, musicians, and authors.

DIVE + DINE UMA Fundraiser | May 1, 2024

Grand Boulevard at Sandestin in Miramar Beach, Florida

Kick-off Art Month South Walton at DINE + DIVE where attendees can view several of the Underwater Museum of Art’s 2024 sculptures, enjoy a full cash bar with specialty cocktails, meet and greet with the artists and taste featured dishes from local restaurants and award-winning chefs. This event serves as a fundraiser for the Underwater Museum of Art – a project by the Cultural Arts Alliance and South Walton Artificial Reef Association – whose purpose is to create marine habitats and expand fish populations while providing enhanced creative, cultural, economic and educational opportunities for the benefit, education and enjoyment of residents, students and visitors in South Walton.  

ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival | May 4-5, 2024

Grand Boulevard at Sandestin in Miramar Beach, Florida

View or purchase original art from over 100 artists at the 36th annual ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival! This massive celebration showcases arts of all categories, including ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, oils, acrylics, digital, photography, sculpture, wood, watercolor, print, pastels, pencils, ink and paper. With live performances, artist demonstrations, food, beverages and more, this festival is more than just an art exhibition.

Longleaf Writers Conference | May 11-18, 2024

Seaside along 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

The Longleaf Writers Conference is a week-long conference that provides writers of all levels the opportunity to celebrate writing, network, and partake in workshops to refine their craft among other passionate and celebrated writers and poets. From intensive and generative writing workshops, daily seminars, agent consultations, school outreach programs, and special social events, there are ample opportunities to immerse oneself in the world of literature.

Digital Graffiti Festival | May 17-18, 2024

Alys Beach, Florida 

A not to miss groundbreaking event that redefines the boundaries of art and technology! Digital Graffiti returns for the 17th year as this annual festival transforms the iconic white walls of Alys Beach into blank canvases for digital artists worldwide to project their awe-inspiring creations, creating a mesmerizing fusion of light, color, and imagination. Attendees are invited to wander through the open-air illuminated streets and take in the magic of this digital wonderland while tasting dishes from celebrated chefs and sipping on wine from world-renowned winemakers. 

Sinfonia Goes Pops Concert | May 26, 2024

Alys Beach Amphitheater in Alys Beach, Florida
