Information
The season started on June 1, 2023, and will remain open until August 25, 2023. It is incredible to watch the fleets of boats that will cruise in and out of the harbor each day hoping to reel in a Red Snapper, no matter which city along the Gulf Coast you visit.
When you go fishing for Red Snapper, you can keep two per person or ten per boat, whichever number happens first. Please be aware of the size of Red Snapper you keep. It is important to let the smaller Snapper grow and be ready for another season. Also, you could be fined for keeping Red Snappers that are smaller than the dictated length of 16 inches.
Fishing Charters
Each city along the Gulf Coast has fishing charters that offer a unique experience. Booking a fishing charter is one of the best ways to truly experience the Gulf of Mexico. You can book a half-day charter (4 hours) or a full-day charter (8 hours). We recommend choosing a half day if it is your first fishing charter, if you are traveling with kids, or if you want to have a free afternoon to relax.
