Three Cool Ice Cream Shops Paired with Three Hot Properties

Is there any more iconic summer treat than ice cream? We don’t think so. To make it easy to find the best ice cream shops in Destin and South Walton, we’ve paired three hot properties with three cool ice cream shops.

A MIDSUMMER’S NIGHT DREAM + BRUSTER’S

Located in the Crystal Beach community of Destin, A Midsummer’s Night Dream is everything you dream of in a vacation home. From its charming curb appeal to the gorgeous interior, this Destin vacation home is enchanting. With three bedrooms, two baths, and sleeping accommodations for six, it’s also the perfect place for an escape to the Gulf of Mexico. Additionally, modern design, large murals, and touches of luxury characterize this home.

Nearby, you’ll find Bruster’s Real Ice Cream. Easily identified on Highway 98 by its red and white striped canopy, Bruster’s has everything from cones and sundaes to shakes and cakes. Plus, they offer no sugar added and fat-free ice creams, plus non-dairy products like Italian Ice and sorbet. “They’re not ice cream, but they’re so good, we love them anyway,” their site boasts. With hundreds of flavor combinations, Bruster’s is as magical as something Puck himself would have envisioned. Without a doubt, it’s one of the coolest ice cream shops in Destin.

ADAGIO 203E + BLUE MOUNTAIN BEACH CREAMERY

Adagio means “slowly” in Italian. On 30A, Adagio is synonymous with a luxury Gulf Front vacation. Of course, you may want the time to pass slowly while you’re here because it’s just too beautiful to leave.

Adagio 203E, then, is the perfect place to take it slow. This 30A vacation condo offers three bedrooms and three baths, with room for eight guests. Even better, it’s poolside. Not to mention, Adagio’s pool is one of the most coveted amenities on 30A. And what goes great with a day at the pool?

A treat from Blue Mountain Beach Creamery, of course.  At the corner of 30A and CR-83, just across from RedFish Village, Blue Mountain Beach Creamery offers artisanal ice cream, sorbet, and frozen yogurt. Their flavors change daily but one thing remains the same: they make it fresh every day. Just a few to try:  toasted coconut and pineapple, orange mango, cantaloupe, coffee toffee, and strawberries and cream.

BIT O’HEAVEN + HEAVENLY SHORTCAKES & ICE CREAM

Just down the road from Adagio, in the world-famous community of Seaside is a Bit O’Heaven. As the name declares, this Seaside beach home is paradise on Earth. A quaint two-bedroom, one-bath cottage, Bit O’Heaven is a throwback to old Florida simplicity. On the main floor are a cozy living area, galley kitchen, and master bedroom. Two lofts bookend the cottage, one a sleeping area, the other a playroom.

In the shops of Seaside, you’ll discover another celestial experience at Heavenly Shortcakes & Ice Cream. Marked by a giant triple scoop ice cream cone outside, there’s no mistaking Heavenly.  Once you’re at the counter, choose from gelato, sorbet, ice cream, or of course, strawberry shortcakes. The latter is baked on-site daily and pairs marvelously with Heavenly’s offering of Italian coffee. Iced coffee, latte, espresso, and cappuccino from LavAzza bring Italy’s favorite caffeine boost straight to Seaside.

So which one will you try this summer?
