Thankful For Thanksgiving Specials and These Three Things

Thankful For Thanksgiving Specials and These Three Things

This time of year, as we gear up for the holidays, we think about all the things for which we’re grateful. Along the Gulf Coast of Northwest Florida and Alabama, natural beauty abounds. Not only is the landscape breathtaking, but the people are also genuine and kind. Here, we have so much to be thankful for, we just had to make a list.

THE BOUNTY OF THE SEA

Seafood tops our list on the gratitude meter. While the rest of the country is carving a turkey, we opt for some additional coastal fare. Shrimp, fish, mussels, and oysters, are a few of our favorite things. The warm water of the Gulf treats us well, and in turn, we treat it well.

SNOWY WHITE SAND

The snowy white sand of the Gulf Coast comes in at number two on the list. Especially during the fall and winter, you get a lot more sand to yourself as the beaches are less crowded. Although it’s not snow, it’s soft underfoot all year round and it never goes out of season. We’ll settle for digging our toes at any time of year.

RED (SUNSETS) & GREEN (WATER)

Even though all the song lyrics are about summertime sunsets, locals know the most dazzling painted skies happen in the fall and winter. Every afternoon, as sunset sneaks in a bit earlier, the shades of tangerine, violet, and fuschia leave us speechless.

HOLIDAY SPECIALS

Of course, our list wouldn’t be complete without the amazing vacation home and condo specials along the Gulf Coast. We’re especially thankful for these because our friends and family can visit us here during the season of family togetherness.
