Southern Summer Sangria ~ The Southern Scoop’s Recipe of the Month
What says summertime more than sangria? When the air is warm and the sun is shining, there’s nothing more we love than sitting poolside with a nice glass of chilled sangria. Sangria is one of those drinks that is completely customizable depending on your taste preferences. You can use red or white wine as a base, or even a rosé depending on your flavor preferences. Whether you prefer your sangria sweet or savory, there is no wrong way to make this timeless summer classic. From raspberries and mangoes to cucumber and mint, your sangria can be completely personal. If bold and fruity is your preference, then our Southern Summer Sangria is the perfect accompaniment to this summer.
Sweet, simple, and just a little tangy, Southern Summer Sangria can be found in our fridge all summer long. We used apples and oranges for this recipe, but you are welcome to adapt it to your taste preferences. Some sangria recipes also use rum, but we found that brandy paired better with the Spanish red wine. All of these ingredients can be found at your local grocery store or farmer’s market and can be prepared in under ten minutes. Did you make this recipe?
