Destin Premium Charters is Ready for Red Snapper Season
Today officially kicks off Red Snapper season! The season lasts all the way until July 21, and is sure to be a good time! The best way to catch these popular fish is with Destin Premium Charters. This knowledgeable crew hosts the premier fishing charter in the Destin area. Captains Matt and Mike are ready to take to the sea for the season!
Their boat, the Triton, is one of the few federally permitted boats in Destin. This means they can get a head start on the season, while state-permitted boats and recreational fisherman can join in the fun starting June 11.
Destin Premium Charters offer a couple of different fishing trips. Their 4-6 hour trip is known as the “best all around.” This trip leaves in either the morning or afternoon, depending on your schedule. It’s perfect for kids, families, groups, or anyone who wants to try fishing for the first time. This trip is all about having fun!
Then, for the more serious angler, try an 8-10 hour trip for seasonal fish. Here you’ll go offshore to better target fish like Amberjack and Red Snapper. If you have questions or aren’t sure about the two, they’ll be happy to help you decide on the best trip.
Red Snapper is fun to reel up, but even better to eat! These tasty fish are incredibly popular in the area since most restaurants offer a “you hook it, we cook it” deal. There’s nothing better than freshly caught snapper! Also, as part of your charter experience, the Triton’s deckhand will fillet and bag your catch for you to take home or to a local restaurant.
Or, if you’re a cook it yourself kind of person, try it pan seared with a little olive oil, lemon juice, rice vinegar, mustard, and honey. Top it off with some green onions and ginger for a Thai-inspired twist.
Don’t wait to book your fishing charter! The snapper season fills up fast, and you’re sure to want to get as much snapper as possible.
