Our Partnership with the Ronald McDonald House ~ Southern Vacation Rentals
We are proud to partner with the Ronald McDonald House through our Southern Cares program. Our partnership with the Ronald McDonald House is near and dear to us, and we are honored to be able to support them. Specifically, we work closely with our local Ronald McDonald House chapter – the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida. The Ronald McDonald House provides care and resources to families with sick children while keeping them close together. At little to no cost, the Ronald McDonald House is able to provide families a place to rest and regroup while their children receive the care they need.

How Does Southern Help?
If you have ever booked a vacation with us, whether online or with our Guest Ambassador team, you may have been asked if you want to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. By collecting donations from guests, we are able to provide funds for the Ronald McDonald House.
We also participate in Casual for Kids (formerly Kaps 4 Kids), the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida’s largest fundraising day. Businesses, groups, and individuals are asked to wear their Casual for Kids gear – t-shirts, socks, and hats – and take a “casual day” to show their support. Casual for Kids happens every year in April, but you can purchase gear at any time online.
Additionally, we also participate in the Big Mac Classic. This is an all-King Mackeral event with prizes for the three largest fish overall. Plus, there are plenty of ways to win cash awards. All proceeds from the Big Mac Classic benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida.
How Can You Help?
There are a number of ways you can help support the Ronald McDonald House. For starters, simply donating can go a long way. You can also host a fundraiser, donate to their wish list, or bring meals to families staying in the care center. They are also accepting volunteer hours in their facility as a greeter, taking care of administrative duties, or assisting the house manager.
