The Annual National Shrimp Festival, presented by Zatarain’s and other local sponsors, takes place each year during the second full week of October at the public beach access where Highway 59 ends and intersects with Highway 182. This premier event attracts over 250,000 people, making it one of the nation’s top outdoor festivals. Over 300 vendors set up shop offering fine art, arts and crafts for the kids, a retail marketplace and you guessed it….shrimp! Dine of delicious seafood and enjoy live music and great company.
