Vacations are a great time to indulge. But, this doesn’t mean you have to let your New Year’s resolutions completely slide. While January isn’t necessarily bikini weather, continue to work on your beach bod by hitting the trails of Northwest Florida and Coastal Alabama.
Northwest Florida offers ample opportunities for exploring. Scenic 30A is a popular destination for hiking and biking. In addition to the bike path that connects each community, there are also over 200 miles of state parks, forests and preserve to trek. Popular trails include the Eastern Lake Trails and Topsail Hill State Park, located near our Adagio condos.
Other popular destinations in Northwest Florida ideal for exploring are Destin and Panama City Beach. The Henderson Beach Nature Trail in Destin guides you through shifting sands and coastal scrub. The scenic overlooks are not to be missed! In Panama City Beach, visit St. Andrews State Park to explore via a two-mile paved road. Further west, check out Gulf Islands National Seashore. This park connects Pensacola Beach and our rentals in Navarre Beach. We suggest biking the Seashore Trail and Opal Beach.
Orange Beach and Gulf Shores also offer many opportunities for those who love to ride. Backcountry Trails in Orange Beach provides seven different routes, each offering something different. From the gator swamp to scenic overlooks, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Planning to hit the trails of Coastal Alabama or the Northwest Florida? Bring your bike or visit our Gulf Coast Guide to help locate local rentals. If you will be staying with us in Destin or on Scenic 30A, however, ask our agents about rentals that include bikes! Many of our condos and homes offer two to four adults bikes. So, all you have to do is arrive and hit the road!
