We love to have a good time at the beach. Here on the Gulf Coast, the good times don’t stop when summer ends. In fact, some would say, we’re just gearing up for some of the most fun times of year. September has become known as the month of fine wines and finer seafood.

Now in its fourth year, The Wharf Uncorked Food and Wine Festival invites you to pop your top in Orange Beach, Alabama. One of the most sought-after events in Coastal Alabama, Uncorked is all about cutting loose with coastal cuisine.

What makes this festival even more special is it isn’t one-size fits all. Instead of a single ticket option, Uncorked lets gourmands and wine aficionados customize which events to attend from September 14-16.

The weekend kicks off Thursday night with a Food-Network style showdown. Local chefs face-off in a cook-off. Meanwhile, spectators can enjoy appetizers and cocktails from the open bar. At $35, you won’t find a better Friday night excursion. After all,  you’ll enjoy dinner, drinks, and a show!

Friday, take a cooking class and learn from the pros. Chef Nino will demonstrate how to make delicious shrimp scampi. Of course, you’ll be able to sample wines from the Delicato Vineyards. Did we mention admission is free?

To finish the event, Saturday ushers in the grand tasting. This is the main event, with vintners and wine connoisseurs from around the world. You’ll be able to sample hundreds of wine and food pairings. Sample silky pinot noirs, crisp rieslings, and earthy syrahs. Then cast your vote for the best in show. Stay to find out who the takes the title of culinary champion.

Best of all, the event benefits Alabama’s Make-A-Wish Foundation. Have fun and make-a-wish come true at The Wharf Uncorked Wine and Food Festival in Orange Beach. Get your tickets here and reserve your Orange Beach vacation rental now before they fill up!
