Easter Activities at the Beach ~ Southern Vacation Rentals
With Easter falling less than a week away, we’re sure you’re looking for ways to celebrate with the whole family! If you’ve never celebrated Easter on the beach, then we absolutely recommend you give it a try! Here on the Gulf Coast, there’s no shortage of fun things to do during Easter weekend. From egg hunts at the beach to delicious Easter dinners at some incredible area restaurants, you’ll want to find time to try it all! We’ve selected some of our favorite Easter activities at the beach for you and your family to try.
Scenic 30A
There are egg hunts galore over on Scenic 30A! Grayton Beach State Park is hosting their inaugural Grayt Easter 5K and Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20th. The race begins at 8 AM, with an Easter egg hunt at the beach for kids ages eight and below. The egg hunt begins at 9:30 AM.
Meanwhile, a new 30A tradition takes place at the Gulley Amphitheatre Lawn at Gulf Place. The Easter Egg Scramble starts at 11 AM, with an egg hunt for kids 0-6 years old and one for kids 6 years and up. There will also be some special golden eggs hidden for adults! Some shops will even have eggs in their businesses containing special offers and coupons. This 30A activity is the perfect way to celebrate Easter, as you can stay in our Gulf Place vacation condos on 30A and simply stroll down to the lawn for the fun!
Destin
Destin is brimming with exciting Easter activities at the beach! LuLu’s is hosting their annual Easter Egg Dash on Easter Sunday at 2 PM, with toys, prizes, and more! Plus, kids will get the chance to meet the Easter Bunny! Or, head down to HarborWalk Village to visit with the Easter Bunny on April 21st from 2-4 PM. You can also enjoy a delicious Easter brunch beforehand! In addition, of our favorite restaurants in Destin, Cuvee Kitchen + Wine Bar, is hosting their Easter Brunch Buffet from 10 AM to 4 PM. Pensacola & Perdido Key
Egg hunts abound out west! First, there is the Pensacola Beach Church’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20th. Rain or shine, come search the beach for Easter eggs! This event is open to all area children of all ages. Then, there’s the Flora-Bama Egg-stravaganza in Perdido Key, on Saturday, April 20th beginning at 1 PM. Kids’ crafts and face-painting kicks off the day of fun, along with an Easter egg hunt on the beach at 2 PM. Stick around after, as the Easter Bunny will skydive onto the beach just in time to meet kids and have their picture taken!
Gulf Shores
Meanwhile, in Gulf Shores, the area’s most popular Easter event takes place at The Hangout Bar & Grill. Celebrate Easter at The Hangout on Sunday, April 21st from 6:30-11:30 AM. The morning kicks off with an Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 AM at Gulf Shores United Methodist Church. Then, head back to the Hangout for the Easter Bunny Meet & Greet at 9 AM. There will even be a costume contest, so get the kids dolled up in their best Easter bunny outfit! A delicious Easter brunch takes place from 7:30-11 AM, with mimosas and Bloody Mary’s for just $5.
