Beach Updates

COVID-19 Update

We are happy to accept reservations in all of our properties without restrictions. Our areas are open for business and being very respectful of social distancing and increased cleaning standards. The beaches are open in the counties we serve and our local officials have made no indication of closing the beaches.

Some of our areas may have mandates for masks to be worn inside businesses while you are here on vacation. We highly recommend the use of masks to help ease the spread of COVID-19.

Alabama has mandated a mask ordinance effective from 5 PM on July 16, 2020, until 5 PM on March 5, 2021. Masks or face coverings must be worn when you are within six feet of a person from another household in all indoor spaces open to the general public, a vehicle operated by a transportation service (including buses, taxis, Lyft, and Uber), or outdoor public spaces where 10 or more people are gathered.

Southern’s Clean Initiative: Learn more here about Southern’s own cleaning protocol in response to COVID-19.

Beach Statuses: Our beaches are open with no limited hours. Effective June 26, 2020, Seaside has a strict 8 PM curfew for residents and visitors.

While using the beach, please continue to follow social distancing guidelines - staying in groups of 10 or less and maintaining a six-foot or more distance from other groups.

Area Activities & Restaurants:

  • In Alabama, bars, breweries, restaurants, and retailers are allowed to operate at 50% capacity.
  • In Florida, bars, breweries, restaurants, and retail stores are allowed to operate at full capacity.

Everywhere along the coast must follow social distancing guidelines. Please reference the business's hours of operation for specific details.
