Hey, ladies! Are you looking for a fun event on Okaloosa Island? Do you love to fish on the Gulf of Mexico? Do like to win money for being the best around? Then show off your skills at the 2016 Fud Chicks Fallout Fishing Tournament! Part of the Fudpucker’s Fishing Series, this fall event is for ladies only, and there is a $150 entry fee. A mandatory Captain’s meeting will take place the day before the tournament at Fudpucker’s on Okaloosa Island. The Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder fishing tournament will take place on September 10th. At the end of the day, an awards ceremony will take place at 7pm at Fudpucker’s on Okaloosa Island.
Awards are as follows:
First Place Red Fish $500
First Place Speckled Trout $250
First Place Flounder $125
$500 Choctawhatchee Slam (top aggregate weight of all three species)
If you’re not great at fishing but are looking for a fun event on Okaloosa Island, then head over to Fudpcuker’s on Okaloosa Island after the tournament.There will also be a raffle and fish fry during the awards ceremony, with all raffle proceeds benefiting the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance. The Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance is a non-profit organization that is devoted to the monitoring and restoration of the local waterways. For over 20 years, the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance has devoted countless hours and resources to keeping the ecosystem of the Gulf Coast healthy. This is a great cause so come out and participate in the tournament, or show up at Fudpcuker’s at 7pm to have some great fresh fish and support your favorite captain!
